How to Factory reset your Samsung Galaxy phones

How to Factory reset your Samsung Galaxy phones

factory reset your Samsung Galaxy phone

doing this on a Galaxy s5 it will work
pretty much the same on any samsung
phone
the menus might be a little bit
different but once you get into the
settings menu you should be able to find
backup and reset so basically just open
up the phone two ways to access it you
can either pull down the top menu hit
the little settings key at the top
scroll down until you find the part that
says user and backup you click backup
and restore and it's going to ask you if
you want to backup your data and
everything first which you basically
would do on an external sd card or
backing up apps and such like that to
the your Google account and then you
just tap factory data reset the second
way I'm going to show you how to do it
is you hit the app button at the bottom
find your little Settings tab click on
that it brings you right back to the
same screen and then you just would
scroll down to that same user and backup
area now not everybody has this view
there are three different views that you
can look at when you're viewing your
internal workings of the phone the grid
the list or the tab so if you happen to
have ListView this is what it's going to
look like a little bit different not
much but basically you just would scroll
down to the same exact area where it
says user and back up and hit backup and
reset the third view is the tab view
this just lists everything in individual
tabs listed at the top quick settings
connections device controls and just
general you want to go under general
that's where your backup and reset is
located so you want to click on backup
initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; display: flex; flex-direction: row; font-family: Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; margin: 0px; padding: 8px 16px 8px 3px;">
and reset factory data reset it's going
to ask you if you're sure you want to do
this and it's also going to reconfirm
that you've backed up everything so you
don't lose it because when you do a
reset you lose everything
except for what the factor originally
installed on the phone when you bought
it new
so hit reset device it's going to
reconfirm to you again gives you a
couple chances to back out if you want
to we're going to hit delete all and
what the phone will do is it will shut
down you'll notice at the top there'll
be a an icon telling you that it's you
know starting to do the reset then
you'll see the droid pop up where it's
erasing all of your data and after this
is done the phone will turn off you'll
see the main screen pop back up and then
you're going to end up seeing just a
white screen this is an AT&T phone so
you'll see the AT&T symbol after the
Samsung logo flashes now sometimes this
screen right here sits for a while the
phone is completely deleting and erasing
all content so - based on how much you
have in your phone will judge how long
this takes but this can take about a
minute or so to a minute and a half for
this screen to stay on here so just be
patient I'm going to speed up the video
to get past this point so we can get to
what happens right after this okay so
the phone's completely reset the white
screen with the AT&T logo has gone and
now basically it's just going to go
through the setup process you're all set
to go hopefully this works out for you
